Passions, come and gone:

Sports: Ski racing (during high school, curtailed by university) - but although coached by a former World Champion, I didn't rise above the club level.  Other dabbles have been tennis, orienteering, racquetball and ultimate frisbee.

Romance: Previously married and divorced - now married to the most wonderful woman.

Academics: Geography (Glaciology, twice), Fine Arts (photography), and now Sustainable Development (in progress).

Current drives: Travel, photography, Formula 1, Blue Rodeo, www.haythornthwaite.net.
